Raffle for La Canada Guitar Model 17

About the event

The proceeds from the raffle of this guitar raffle will go directly to scholarships benefitting underprivilleged youth attending the LA Guitar Festival. The guitar is valued at $3,000 USD and was graciously donated by the Guitar Salon International. We are in need of $5,000 to sponsor the entire guitar class of students from Porterville, CA.

Buy a ticket to enter the raffle. Buy a bunch of tickets to increase your chances of winning this guitar and do some good to others at the same time. The raffle will be livestreamed on the festival's website on April 28, 2024 at 7:00 PM PST.

The "Model 17" is based largely on an 1864 Torres, known as "FE 17" - the earliest of Tarrega’s 3 Torres instruments that he would play throughout his career – this is a charming, first-epoch style guitar with a slightly more compact body size and shorter scale length. Its smaller size and lightweight build is a bit deceptive at first – but once you pluck the first note, it has a huge sound, very full and robust with great lyrical charm in the trebles and fat basses - rich in overtones across the entire register. Startlingly easy to play, the comfortable neck shape and fast response make this a true players guitar.

Note: Stock photos may be used for this model listing. The exact guitar pictured may no longer be available, and may differ slightly from current inventory.
